| Position Overview |
Software Tester will work on billable engagements to provide support, advice and guidance on the correct application of a services/products/technology solution or technique. Designs, develops and implements solutions by using standard methods, techniques and tools. Learns project management techniques by acting as a team leader on small projects/engagements or portions of larger projects (e.g., resource utilization, risk mitigation, financials, performance management, fulfilling appropriate project control requirements, etc.) Is recognized as an extremely knowledgeable resource in several technical domains. Designs total system solutions for smaller projects/engagements or for portions of larger projects Widely applies theories, concepts and systems integration fundamentals. Develops client support plans for complex systems and/or major projects. Identifies follow-on business in client accounts and communicates these opportunities to management or account executives. Assists, as needed, in pre-sales efforts in addition to working on billable engagements. Develops further depth and expertise in their area of specialization (e.g., solutions specialization, project management, architectural design, etc.) |
| Responsibilities |
• Self directed, highly motivated and have strong problem solving & trouble-shooting skills.
• Experience in developing Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts, executing tests & resolving test discrepancies.
• Experience in performing Functional testing, Integration testing, System testing, Acceptance testing, Regression testing, Stress testing, Performance testing, Load testing, GUI Testing, Data-driven testing, Smoke testing and Cross-browser testing.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, with particular emphasis on the production of clear & detailed written Test Plans, Business Requirements, & Functional Specifications.
•Ability to learn and apply new technologies/tools/platforms quickly and effectively.
•Exposure to all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Testing Life Cycle and QA Methodologies.
•Interaction with the project managers and the development team on resolving issues. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Have a broad knowledge of both software, hardware and network testing.
•Ability to work in a spiral development lifecycle with minimum requirements.
•Solutions must have included the use of disciplined and practical QA processes and tools suitable for different testing methods such as functional, non-functional, systems integration, UAT, etc. Candidates must have hands-on experience with both, or one of the following, when applying for either the functional, non-functional or both disciplines.
•Defines and maintains product quality consistency (testable and verifiable requirements for functional and non-functional features) through verifiable software quality controls, checkpoints and testing.
•Develop and manage functional, non-functional, systems integration and UAT quality assurance test plans.
•Verifies that project schedule, requirements, design, development and architecture artifacts contain clear and concise details in order to perform proper test planning and test execution.
•Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
•Ability to interface with multiple groups and primary client.

| Requirements |
Nine plus years experience of Software Testing and Development in client-server and web based environment using several tools and technologies.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
